Dear Ms. Wertsch,
I just wanted to let you know that I recently discovered your magnificent work "Blessed Assurance" - the one for SSAATTBB and soprano solo. A dear friend of mine asked me to sing the solo with his (quite talented) church choir, and I said yes before I'd even seen it, knowing that he always prepares great repertoire. After singing through it, I am SO excited to perform it during the worship service this Sunday. It's beautifully arranged and sits in THE spot for my voice to shine (a bit higher than most church music, I might add). I know the congregation will be truly moved. Thank you for your beautiful rendition of this most special of hymns!

During this past week, I have been thinking of this song, Jesus Walked this Lonesome Valley, but couldn't remember all the words. A friend encouraged me to google it which I did. There are any number of renditions on the Internet, but this one by Nancy Wertsch is the most beautiful of all. Thanks

Hi, Nancy,
Lovely to find your website, and see all that you are still doing. You can add that your Amazing Grace was heard in Adelaide, South Australia [2004] and the Song of Solomon [Rise up my love, and come away] heard - ss a duet, I confess - in NZ in 2005. Even Down Under, people have heard of you!

hello nancy,
what a great web site! i'll echo what ruth nolan (below) said: congratulations! (you may remember me from ten -- twelve? --or more years ago -- you very graciously and wonderfully sang the first of my "Lyric Movements" for mezzo, viola and piano over at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music -- text was a Keats sonnet)
In submitting something to Kent Tritle last year, I came across your name and thought i'd send a message.
best of luck and again, the web site is very impressive. Congrats!
best wishes,
michael biondi
